DIY Terrace Bench

DIY Terrace Bench

This is my husband’s DIY (do-it-yourself) latest project, our terrace bench, it was made from palo-china woods he bought from a scrap hardware, except for the base that must be sturdy (2×2 timber). These woods were formerly wood pallets and sold for 30 Php per kilogram.  He built it based on the shape of our terrace wall to fit well as you can see.

Polished all the area then paint with natural color varnish to enhance the natural look of the wood.

The finished product in the terrace where we spent some relaxing time, his next project will be the center table for this piece. Making this DIY bench saved me a lot of money. I was supposed to buy plastic chairs but I changed my mind and suggested to hubby if he can build a wooden bench for our terrace to have a more nature-inspired appearance like what I saw in some resorts we visited and turned out more than I expected and because it was built with love. 🙂

Things in common

When it comes to savings, both homes and big companies and businesses are on the same path. We, the homemakers always on the look-out for discounts on grocery items and personal stuff, we cut-out or print coupons or search for sale promos. The same thing with companies as they researched for stores that can give them good prices with the tools and equipments to use for their services or products, like an atv winch deals at mfr express for those in the Tow truck or construction industry. For us at home, any small amount we saved can be used for other needs, same goes with corporations, the amount can be reinvested to create more jobs or be given as incentives to their employees.
