Josie's Window

This is the story of someone we know. He has all the material things that anyone would love to have, big houses, cars, money but still he is unhappy. They have a good business which is manage by his wife, he retired early in his office job to help his wife. The problem is the wife is a very jealous type. She always wanted him to be on her side, drive her to work even if they have a family driver. She always nags him for every little or imaginable mistakes he commits. His cellphone calls are always monitored, he came to a point that he just stayed at home, relinquished his work to the wife  so she won’t find any reason to quarrel him. This was started when he was caught having an affair with another woman (of course this a balanced reporting  ) which has been long stopped. Now he seems to be living in a bird’s  cage. Every time they will have an argument, the cheating story was brought up over and over again.

Yes, you will say why not leave her. He already thought of that, even of the legal ways (we have no divorce).  But what stopping him is his children, he loved them very much  and leaving the wife means leaving the whole family behind which he can’t bear to do. The children is more on their mother’s side, though they love him too.

My point why I wrote this is: Think ten times before you commit something you might regret in the future.  Temptation is everywhere if you have money, good-looking or famous. One simple mistake can cost you a lot, a lesson learned a little too late for  him. Always keep in mind that happiness and peace of mind are more important than any material thing in the world.
